3D printer nozzle repair

The nozzle hit the print during a production run for new Profurl foil coupler bushings/bearings which are hefty enough to bend this nozzle. I was surprised to find that the thermal paste was hardened and crumbling… with electronics it stays a paste forever but of course this nozzle reaches much higher temperatures, up to 300 degrees Celsius.

I have spares and decided to also replace the heater element, temperature sensor and silicone sock, as this nozzle saw a lot of use over the past years.

… and it’s ready to go. To prevent this from happening again, I will add some extra supports to the print so that it’s held in place better 😎
