LTO battery test
Engine start inrush current measurements.The scope is at 50mV/div. The shunt is 50mV for 500A. On the time axis we have 200ms/div. We see around 60mV so 600A inrush, quickly reducing to 300A after 200ms and the engine is running after 800ms.This is a large 5.7 liter Hemi V8 engine with a 1.4kW starter. In the graph you can see bumps upwards that repeat at similar intervals. I think this is the compression in the cylinders?
